Seeing my work appear in the British and European Art auction at Bonhams is a meaningful moment - not only professionally, but deeply personally.

Two of my tapestries, “Archaic Love in Dolmen” and “Red Dolmen”, have been included in this prestigious sale.

Both belong to my long-standing exploration of dolmens - ancient stone structures that have shaped my imagination since early childhood.

When I was five years old, I spent long periods with my grandmother high in the Abkhaz mountains. Our surroundings were filled with dolmens. The locals spoke of them in hushed, reverent tones, passing down stories rich with mysticism and wonder. These Bronze Age structures stood like silent guardians of forgotten eras - and for a child with an endless curiosity, they were doorways into mystery.

Those early impressions have never left me.

They shaped the way I understand form, material, symbol, and time.

They are the foundation of the artworks now presented at Bonhams.
